The European Defence Conference (EDC) 2011 is an interactive two day conference with many options for discussion, debate and Europe wide networking. The aim is to foster cooperation in the defence and security sector between private companies, knowledge institutes, Governments and International Organizations. The programme provides opportunities for discussion on policy and procedures, briefing of recent R&T results and proposals for future cooperation. The 2011 edition will be focused on Research and Development (R&D) issues. The programme starts with a plenary session where high level Authorities explain their vision on the future of cooperation in Europe. The remainder of the conference consists of a series of interactive sessions where participants will be asked to voice their views. Results of these discussions will be shared with policy makers in Governments, Industry Associations and the European Defence Agency. In a separate track practical R&T results and proposals for new cooperative projects will be presented and reviewed. This will be an opportunity to learn about, propose, or join new projects.
